I’ve had the luxury of KNOWING my ancestry. My mother is Afrikan-American & my dad is from Nigeria.

I’ve been going back & fourth to the Afrikan continent since I was 7. It’s ALWAYS great to see brothas & sistas reconnecting back to who & what IS culturally us.

That’s the ONLY way we’ll EVER be able to GET FREE of the “Spiritual Enslavement” that has befallen us via slavery & our former slavemaster’s bullshit, made up religious doctrines..

If a man living 400 years ago had a white father and a black mother married a black woman, had a son, that son fathered a child with a black woman, and this pattern continued, by now the descendents would look black and maybe dark skinned, but the ancestry of that fathers side would still go back to the white father 400 years ago. This is how it works as I understand it, because that dna sequence is passed down from father to son and doesnt change. I hope this helps Queensladyday

I dont think that it is a hoax. Skin tone and facial features are not determined by the same genes that show our ancestry, but instead by more immediate relatives (parents, etc). Even Dr. Kittles himself, you is dark and in this video, is European on his fathers side, in fact 30% of all african americans are european on their fathers side due mostly to white slave masters having children with Africa women.

My “dark black” brother, father & grandparents dna results were “people living throughout Europe”. This is from African Ancestry! I called them up and was told that the dna they trace is BEFORE the slave trade. Do you think I was ripped off?

Both actresses Vanessa A. Williams & Kimberly Elise(2 extremely fine, sexy, Beautiful Black Women)have incredibly beautiful, soft, endearing doe eyes. I just want to hug them & never let go of them.

Vanessa A. Williams, like the other Vanessa Williams, is extremely talented, intelligent, & sexy & beautiful, & she resembles those ancient, beautiful African Queens(i.e. Egypt)that I had learned about when I was young. To those who say that we’re not of African Descent, because of slavery, my response is no matter how much cream you put in the coffee, the dominant or strong ingredient will always be coffee. GOD BLESS MOTHER AFRICA & ALL OF HER DESCENDANTS OF THE AFRICAN DIASPORA!!!!

58% of Black People have at least 12.5% european blood in them. Henry Louis Jr. was saying something about that, and 5% of Black People have Native Indian blood.

While I love what you’re company is doing, I find it disheartening and in bad taste that this is being extended, with such sensationalism, to celebrities…much like celebrity placement in the fashion sector. How about featuring everyday people? Let’s extend that gift of self-knowledge and closure to everyday people, free of charge, instead of just to celebrities in staged ceremonies. The celebrities can afford to pay for it…if we have to pay and do the legwork, so should they.
